Rakshabandhan And Friendship Day Celebration With Cancer-stricken Kids

                                                             "YOU WE CAN"

Lions club of Brilliance, Shantigram celebrated Rakshabandhan and friendship day with cancer diagnosed kids at Government Civil Hospital, Shahibaug. Many kits which consisted of toys, books, playdoh, pencils, colours, rakhi, friendship band, mugs, sanitizer, mask, sketch pens etc. were distributed to the kids. Lion Hiren Mewada (district cabinet secretary), Lion Roopa Shah (director fund raising and childhood cancer) and Lion Payal Shah (president Lions Club Brilliance, Ahmedabad) graced the occasion with their presence and active participation. 21 kits were sponsored by the members of Lions Club Brilliance, Shantigram and the residents of Adani Shantigram. A total of 1 hour was spent with the kids.

The smile which the kids would show upon receiving the kits was ecstatic and blissful. They would also tell that no one would meet them during lockdown and kinda felt lonely too. It was also sad to see the kids struggling to live peacefully. One kid had also lost his eyesight (because of chemotherapy). This made me realize to be thankful and grateful to God for what I have.

Atlast, I would once again like to thank all the people who helped us and would also wish a speedy recovery to the cancer-stricken kids.

India Fights From Home

"Survive, Survive and Survive" - This has been and continues to be the sole motto of all of us as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to take a toll on our lives.  People are surviving by the mere mercy of oximeter bound to their fingertips. Life that seemed to be big-sized is now thriving on a small machine. The pandemic has once again risen to its utmost potential and has now become even more dangerous with no beds available in the hospitals, non-availability of doctors over phone calls, shortage of basic oral medicines and no signs of remdesivir injection in the pharmacies and with a waiting time of over 36 hours for a government ambulance (104, 108).Even if you get your own private ambulance with hefty amounts of money, you have to wait for over a period of no less than 8 hours in the queue outside hospital; you can consider yourself very lucky if you succeed in getting an ambulance with oxygen. Its a fight against death from home with only your family members beside you. You...

HOME MADE FOOD AND HOME MADE MASK DISTRIBUTION (COVID - 19) DURING THE ENTIRE LOCKDOWN

A LITTLE HELP WITH A LIITLE SMILE GIVES MEANING TO HUMAN LIFE. ( From 7 April to 15 May , 2020 ; During lockdown period non-stop; 45-days; provided home made food to 100+ needy people daily; food and lemonade for 60 policemen on duty daily; for 2 weeks raw ration for 200 stranded truck drivers and also distributed 200 masks to drivers and 200 masks to policemen; This was all possible because of support garnered from the residents of Shantigram.) The Coronavirus pandemic has brought hunger to millions of people around the world. National lockdowns and social distancing measures are drying up work and incomes,  leaving millions to worry how they will get enough to eat.

Food Distribution on 17th, September, 2020

The members of Lions Club of Brilliance, Shantigram, distributed 100 home made food packets at the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Highway on 17/9/20 to the poor and the needy ones. The food packets worth rupees 5000 were sponsored by Mr. bharat and Mr. Jyoti Gor (both of them are currently residing in the United Kingdom). Special thanks to  Mr. Dhiraj Parmar  who also sponsored the food packets. A total of 100 bananas were sponsored by Mrs. Sonal Oza. On a special note, we are really receiving great sponsorships for selfless services from the United Kingdom . Really appreciate it!!!!!!
